Christ Lutheran Church is more than a “church” it is a home. We are a family of warm, friendly and wonderful people full of hope, full of life, full of love. That is how it is at our little church in New Hyde Park - a little piece of home. We are a gathered community with people from different backgrounds, hands of different colors and voices with different accents working together to serve the people of God with true joy and thanksgiving. I invite you to come in and visit us. Witness our joyful worship, our amazing Sunday School and spirited Bible Studies.
Come and see how God is active in our lives.
Come and see how our ministry reaches out to the community.
Come and see your new spiritual home.
That’s the best thing about coming home, you are always welcome. We invite you home, home to Christ Lutheran Church where we always share the love of God with family, friends and strangers
May the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the joy of home be with you all.

We have just formed a WELCA (Women of the ELCA) group under the direction of Lisette Martinez. Anyone interested in joining should see Lisette. The group will meet the 4th Monday of each month at 7pm, beginning August 26th.
It is with great joy that I announce our Synod elected and called a new Bishop on May 17th. The Reverend Paul Egensteiner will lead the people of God who call the Metro NY Synod home for the next 6 six. Please hold Pastor Paul, his family and the people of God in your prayers.
Meets the first Monday of the month at 7pm. Prayer Shawls are an expression of care and concern for those individuals experiencing difficulties in their lives. When we present a prayer shawl we are affirming that the recipientiant is never alone, but rather wrapped in God's love and our prayers.
In order to meet the demands of this vital ministry, we need more shawls. If you are a knitter or crocheter, or if you know of anyone with these wonderful gifts, please help provide for those in our community by knitting or crocheting a shawl and bring it to church to be blessed. We will joyfully provide the yarn.
For many years, the members of our congregation have supported the Lutheran Social Services Food Pantry in Uniondale. As they face critical shortages of foods, I am asking for your continued support of this wonderful ministry to the community. Please drop off food donations (can goods are best) in the collection basket in the Narthex. If you wish to make a cash donation, please a place a check payable to Christ Lutheran Church and place it in an envelope marked "Food Pantry" and put it in the offering plate.
Thank your for your support. Pastor Bob
