Christ Church is a member of the ELCA. As our Mission Statement, at the bottom of the page indicates, we are a " Community Oriented" facility. Our programs reflect what you, our neighbors, have asked for. Besides having a member population from countries like India, Guyana, China and the Caribbean Islands, we have many from European countries as well.
We have welcomed diversity for years which includes a building that is "Disability Accessible". See our pictures at the bottom of this page. We have welcomed in community programs like an Indian Dance group and the Spotlight Players. We are partners in ministry with ethnic based congregations: Holy Grace Korean and Brazilian Baptist who hold their worship here as well.
Little Sprouts, our preschool will have 100 children ages 2 - 5 here this year. Please refer to it's separate page for more details. We are proud of this multi-ethnic school which reflects the cultures and the religions of our neighborhood.
Tuesday's Kids Klub, our Christian after school program, has more than 30 children beginning each fall. Ages are from pre-school through grade school. Please look at the special page for more detail.
Our worship also has the diversity of the needs of our community. At 9:30 AM, there is a traditional service with liturgy ( the bread and the wine) in a large sanctuary. At 11:30 AM, there is a " come as you are" worship in a smaller homey space. Many people who do not have a church background or who like informal settings attend. Children are involved in worship at both settings.
